Well what can you say about this river? Once you see it you are hooked. It has every thing a river angler could wish for. Barbel to over 14lbs, Bream to 13lbs, Carp to 20lbs, Chub to 9lbs Big Roach, Dace and even Big Minnows.
When you walk down from the car park alongside Thorney Weir, you come to the river bank. This is the widest stretch with swims made for you to relax in. Along this stretch is where you stand a very good chance of Big Bream and Carp. As you move down river it becomes narrower and faster with good reed beds for the Barbel and Chub to get in among.
